
Your
wedding is a once in a lifetime occasion. Plantation
Island Resort handles about 30 Weddings a year. We
offer a variety of locations and arrangements can
be made to suit any budget.
We encourage couples to book their holiday arrangements
through their Travel Agent however due to frequent changes
in Wedding requirements it is advised that these arrangements
be handled directly with Plantation Island Resort.

Requirements for a Wedding License in the Fiji Islands:
- Passport & original Birth Certificate
- If previously married and divorced, decri nisi.
- If your name has been changed, deed poll documents.
- Singles Status Certificate obtained from your residing Registry Office.
THESE DOCUMENTATIONS ARE TO BE SENT VIA FACSIMILE TWO WEEKS
PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AT THE NADI REGISTER OFFICE WHERE THE
ORIGINALS ARE TO BE PRESENTED
- The couple must present themselves together at Nadi
Registry Office to sign the application
located at Ratu Naulianano House and the wedding must take
place within 28 days of
signing the application
- Marriage License Fee – FJD$20.25
The above conditions are required by Fiji Law - It is the
responsibility of the couple to know
the requirements of their particular church/religion. For
example special requirements by the
Roman Catholic Church are:
- Letter from your parish priest.
- Pre-marriage instructions.
- Baptism Certificates.
- A Freedom to Marry Form.
- At least one meeting with the Priest in Lautoka
well before the Ceremony.
Who Performs the Ceremony
The Marriage Ceremony can be performed by either a Priest,
Celebrant or any Minister NB – If
the Wedding is to be held late afternoon after the last
connection flight from Plantation Island Resort to Nadi
Airport, then accommodation, dinner and breakfast for
the person performing the Ceremony is an additional charge.

- The Village church on top of the hill overlooking
the Lagoon and Resort.
- On the beach – accompanied by the blowing of
Conch Shells and beating of the Lali Drum
with Fijian Warriors carrying the Bride on a Traditional
Ceremonial Chair.
- On the water – our floating pontoon is adorned
with Coconut leaves and Bridal Arch. The
bride is carried out by raft escorted by paddling Fijian
Warriors.
- On the Sandbar – With the tide permitting, a
small white sandbar appears for 4 hours. The
bridal party arrive by boat. You are surrounded by crystal
clear waters.

Long Bridal Bouquet and Buttonhole for the Groom

- The Plantation String Band will perform only during
the cermony.
- Fijian Solevu Village Children's Choir to sing during
the cermony.

Sinlge tier fruit cake.

A private Champagne Beachfront Dinner for two.

If required, witnesses can be arranged to attend the Ceremony.
